Welcome Back, Welcome Home...
How do these things start? Bands breed in the abandoned places, it's always the way. It happens when and where no-one is looking - and no-one was looking at the valleys of South Wales back then, dead to the world but loud enough to get noticed. Eventually there came a crop of noisy, angry guitar groups. You may have heard of some of them? You won't have heard of The jonah Hex... but here they are now.
Hailing from Brynmawr and Ebbw Vale, they started off in a practice room under a stage in a hall for the local steelworks (long since ruined and cleaned away). Part of that TJs wave of indie bands who briefly got the city twinned with Seattle (how did that work out?). They signed with London management and left the homeland before the small print sabotaged them (it gets everyone in the end).
The album "A Heart Full Of Ghosts" was the major victim of the crime, but time and pig-headedness triumphs over everything. This is The Jonah Hex, abandoned no longer, and still noisy. Thanks for stopping by. Remember, all we are, are the songs we sing, and who we sing them with.
